About 22 years ago, I was thrilled to hear one of my sales managers say, “I finally learned to listen to you.”
That was then, and this is now. On September 29, 2016, as I was getting ready to board a plane to Tenali, India. I received a call from a 38-year-old man in Ohio. Because I was standing in a very long line, I had time to talk.
The man on the other end of the line said, “Who am I talking to?” I replied, of course, “Who is this.”
He told me his name and said, “I’ve been on testosterone and I found your website, Testosteroneaddiction.com. “
I listened with all my energies, because this has been my passion for the past three years. “This is not good for me,” he said. He told me that he started using testosterone a year ago. “And it’s causing problems in my life.”
We spent 20 minutes on the phone talking about what he was experiencing and then he proceeded to share with me how every time he goes to taper off, he goes through massive and painful withdrawal symptoms.
I understand his pain, I too have been through this and, as you know, I started an education outreach program two and half years ago, with a bigger vision of expanding the education into treatment for testosterone therapy recovery.
But here’s the wonderful news. Just today the FDA has issued a statement giving approval for
“class-wide labeling changes for all prescription testosterone products, adding a new Warning and updating the Abuse and Dependence section to include new safety information from published literature and case reports regarding the risks associated with abuse and dependence of testosterone and other AAS.” FDA Safety Alert
I am excited because after three years of some people talking about me behind my back, thinking I’m crazy, telling me to get over it, I have just received the news I always believed would be heard by everyone.
My time, energy and efforts have been well worth the pain I have encountered from people coming up against me.
I have the validation of my convictions, my intuition, and the God I have faith in and has been guiding me to stay the course all these years.
Ironically, I have been the voice for Testosterone and Steroid Addiction for two and half years because of a college essay I wrote titled, Physician Accountability in April 2014. It set me on my course.
God works miracles in our lives and God just sent us another miracle. We now have the validation from the FDA. For those who said I was crazy a few years ago, I say, well God had my back. What more could anyone need to keep on going.
If you or someone you love has become addicted to testosterone or steroids please know you’re not alone. I am here to help and soon we will have a treatment program that will too.
Now with the FDA whitelabel warning, our bigger picture vision of treating testosterone trauma will come to fruition in be 2017.
Thank you to those for your support, trust and compassion, I am truly grateful.
